Port Shepstone – Saturday the 12th of May will see the first ever motorsport event take place at the newly developed Dezzi Raceway near Port Shepstone in KZN. This SupaDrift event will be Clare’s third event with her Gatorback RAM drift Mustang.

It has been a learning curve for the whole team, who usually run Clare’s V8 Supercar Mustang in circuit racing, and the new skill of drifting has been an exciting challenge so far. They have done a lot of development on the car since the start of the season and as a result Clare has had very little seat time, but she is optimistic about the Dezzi event.

Clare Vale on the event, “I’m really looking forward to the Port Shepstone event. It’s fantastic to have a new venue in KZN at last, and I’m sure Supadrift will be extremely popular with the crowds there. Our Gatorback RAM Mustang has been a demanding development project, as so many parts have had to be handmade and it’s been tricky finding the right ratios to work for drifting, as opposed to circuit racing. We’re very upbeat, though, as we learn more about the car at each event and it’s working better all the time. The thundering V8 is always a crowd pleaser and we’re going all out to put on a great show at the new Dezzi track!”
