Kiehl’s Charity Cheetah Karting Day

Sunday the 22nd of June will see the 2014 round of the annual Charity Cheetah Karting Day held in aid of the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre, at the Zwartkops kart circuit at the Zwartkops Raceway near Pretoria. Hosted since 2008 by Clare and her team, the 2014 edition of the Karting Day will be sponsored by iconic skin and hair care brand Kiehl’s, who have also recently announced a partnership with Clare herself. With Kiehl’s involvement, the scope of the event is even greater than ever before, with the aim of creating awareness and raise funds for the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre.

This year sees three teams from Kiehl’s, four teams from Tata Automobile Corporation South Africa (TACSA) and Tata Africa Holdings, a Jaguar Land Rover team, two teams from Bridgestone SA, a team from RAM and a team from Liqui Moly competing in the day’s event. The teams will be fighting to take home the bronze floating Cheetah trophy that Honda SA won at last year’s event. The Kiehl’s Charity Cheetah Karting Day race itself is a 2 hour endurance race with 12 karts on track, with the team completing the most laps in that time, taking home the prize.

Joining the Kiehl’s Charity Cheetah Karting Day as event partners are Playstation, who will have mobile units on site for spectators to play on whilst the action happens on track. We are also honoured and thankful for donations by Decadently Delicious and renowned cartoonist, Jerm, for additional prizes on the day, as well as the team from RunRideDive, who will be the Kiehl’s Charity Cheetah Karting Day’s official photographers. Special thanks to the team at Sequill Media who donated their time to help design all the artworks used at this year’s event.
